The
Hardin County Players (HCP), a charitable organization, was
founded in December 1996 for the purpose of serving as an organization
for persons interested in any phase of theatrical activity. The organization
hoped that each individual involved would advance their knowledge
and skills and contribute to the recreational, educational and cultural
enrichment of the community.
Any
person interested in any phase of theatrical activity or in supporting
live theater in the community is welcome to join and/or participate
in the Hardin County Players. Young or old, actor or not, there
is always use of your talents in our organization. Plenty of behind-the-scenes
work is always available!
All
funds of the Hardin County Players are derived from membership dues,
ticket receipts, program advertising, special programs and donations.
As a charitable organization, all funds are expended for activities
within the theater.
The
Hardin County Players organization does not have a place of their own
to call home. We are continuously looking for a building within the
area to house the Hardin County Players. We rely on the generosity of
area schools, churches and organizations within the county to hold our
productions. Recently, due to the generosity of Jobart, Inc. and S&K
Storage, Inc., we now have a trailer for storage and a place to park
it.
